You pick the rate for savings and for each kind of Lock Box, quoted by the day, the week or the month. It posts every morning on the balance they already have, so they watch it compound.
Set it high enough to notice. The first time savings grows while they sleep is the lesson.
A reward for leaving money alone.
A Lock Box takes one deposit for a term you set, at its own rate. They can break it early, and the penalty you set comes out of the interest it earned, never the deposit.
When the term ends it starts a new one, or stops earning and waits for them to collect it, whichever you chose.
Saving for something is the lesson.
A goal sits on their savings and counts only what they've put away since they set it. When it fills, it marks itself done and you both hear about it.
You can give a goal a boost, and mark it bought when you hand the thing over.

GPoints are a starter currency for younger kids. You choose what a point is worth (100 to the dollar unless you change it) and price shop items in points, so raising a price teaches inflation better than a lecture.
The Time Bank holds screen time in minutes. A chore can pay in minutes instead of dollars, and the shop can trade points or cash for more.
