Anyone in the family can add a recipe, kids too: a photo, how many it serves, the ingredients and the steps, with a timer on any step that needs one. Only the person who wrote a recipe can change it, and a parent can delete any of them.
Everyone rates your recipes out of five stars. Share one with other families if you like: it shows your family's name, never a person's, and theirs show up for you under Shared by other families.
Cook from it, then shop for it.
Turn on Keep screen on beside the method, and the screen stays awake until you leave the recipe, on any phone or browser that allows it. Tick off ingredients and steps as you go; a step's timer ticks it off when it rings.
Send ingredients to the family's shopping list one at a time, or all of a catalogue meal's at once. Something already on the list isn't added twice.
